October 26 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Climate change, ecological loss, displacement and other overlapping crises are showing up in the therapy room, for clients and for clinicians. This UNC School of Social Work workshop frames climate distress and eco-grief as understandable responses to real threats, not individual pathology.
Participants will learn practical approaches drawn from climate psychology, somatic and mindfulness-based work, grief models and values-based action to help clients stay present with distress, regulate, and move toward grounded, sustainable action.
