Mental Health Seminar: The Healing Power of Presence - Mindfulness for Stress and Life Satisfaction

March 9 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

March 9 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join us to explore how cultivating presence can support both individual well-being and the health of our broader communities. This seminar will be led by Dr. Caroline Hexdall, a licensed psychologist and mindfulness instructor with the School of Medicine’s Program on Integrative Medicine and founder of the Center for Mindful Development. Drawing on her work at the intersection of lifespan development, well-being, and mindfulness, Dr. Hexdall integrates evidence-based psychology with practical mindfulness approaches used with children, adolescents, and diverse community settings.

Grounded in mindfulness-based principles, the session invites participants to slow down, reconnect with the present moment, and reflect on how inner awareness shapes our relationships and communities. Through guided reflection, accessible practices, and real-life applications, you will learn how mindfulness can reduce stress, support emotional regulation, and enhance overall life satisfaction—while also fostering empathy, connection, and more thoughtful engagement with others. This seminar is open to all, whether you are new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your practice for personal growth and shared well-being.
