October 10 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
The UNC Department of Music’s Conversations in Modern Music series welcomes TALsounds, the project of Lebanese American musician and educator Natalie Chami. Known for drone, ambient, and improvisational music, she blends vintage analog synthesizers, operatic vocals, and immersive soundscapes; her latest album, Shift, features contributions from SWANA women in production, art, and photography.
The performance is in Rehearsal Hall at the Kenan Music Building. Plan to arrive early, as campus parking can be tricky. CLE credit is available for undergraduate students.
