A well-being day event on Monday, September 23rd from 10AM - Noon at the Student Recreation Center. Intended for individuals to learn and practice functional fitness in an accepting and welcoming environment with the support from other female-identifying personal trainers. The first half of the event will be informative and welcome discussion about basic nutrition, benefits of movement, and functional fitness. The second half will be a demonstration and practice through three functional lifts with support from the trainers in a small group setting. Concluding the event, participants are welcome to ask questions about other types of lifts and workout programming. We will also offer additional information about our Campus Rec resources and conduct a reflection activity. The goal is to create an inclusive environment and empower participants to feel confident in coming to the gym on a regular basis. The SRC will be closed for this event to ensure privacy for the participants.
