HallowBeAM: Monster Mold-Making (3D Printer & Vacuum Former)
October 8 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
October 8 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
It's spooky season in the BeAM makerspaces! In this workshop, create festive designs for 3D printing in TinkerCAD and use 3D printed objects to make custom plastic molds in seconds with the vacuum former.
This is a low-capacity workshop, and the first 12 people to RSVP are guaranteed spots. However, if you have a reserved seat, you must arrive at least 5 minutes before the workshop begins to keep your reservation.
Weren't able to snag a reserved seat? You can try to show up 10-15 minutes before the workshop's start time and we will add you to our first-come, first-serve waitlist. 5 minutes before the workshop starts, we will begin filling empty spots with people off the waitlist in the order that they arrived to the makerspace.
IMPORTANT: You must bring a laptop device that you can use to create 3D designs in TinkerCAD. We also recommend creating a free TinkerCAD personal account before the workshop.
PRE-REQUISITE TRAINING: Before attending this workshop, you must complete the introductory BeAM 101 makerspace training. More instructions on how to complete BeAM 101 can be found on the BeAM Training page here: https://beam.unc.edu/trainings/
Want this workshop to count as your 3D Printer training? Make sure to complete the BeAM 3D Printer Training Quiz before you arrive.
