DESCRIPTION:Join us for a groundbreaking event dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health on a global scale. "Reduce the Stigma Worldwide" is a transformative event aimed at fostering understanding\, compassion\, and support for individuals navigating the complexities of mental health challenges and supporting individuals of all backgrounds. The need to address mental health stigma has never been more urgent. Despite progress in raising awareness\, misconceptions and discrimination persist both inside and outside the US\, preventing millions from seeking the help they deserve. This event seeks to challenge these barriers head-on\, igniting a conversation that transcends borders. \n\n\n\nThrough many on-campus clubs and local organizations\, attendees will gain valuable insights into the lived experiences of those affected by mental health conditions and learn about how mindfulness and positive mental health practices are held across the world. From exploring innovative approaches to destigmatizing mental health in diverse communities to highlighting the importance of inclusive policies and supportive environments\, "Reduce the Stigma Worldwide" offers a platform for collaboration and action. We will have fun activities\, focused on collaboration and destressing.

SUMMARY:HGAPS Presents: Soul Screening
DESCRIPTION:Join HGAPS in presenting a film screening of Disney’s Soul! Members of HGAPS will start off the event with a presentation lining out the goals and visions of the organization\, as well as how Soul connects to these goals through psychology. The importance of mental health among college students will be highlighted and students will be encouraged to educate themselves and connect to psychology and mental health resources before winding down with a fun and educational film\, highlighting the themes we present.  \n\n\n\nThis event is sponsored by Carolina After Dark\, and they will be providing free pizza and cookies before the movie starts! The Presentation and Screening will also count for CLE credit! \n\n\n\nThe event will be from 6:30-9pm on Friday\, April 19th in Hamilton Hall\, Room 100
